Champion Bangla ("Champion Bangla," "we," "our," or "us") operates a quiz and competition website and an associated Facebook Page. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect, and delete information when people visit our website, install our progressive web app (PWA), interact with our Facebook Page or quiz posts, or participate in competitions.
The website displays questions, videos, session schedules, results, and winner announcements. Quiz answers are submitted through comments on our Facebook Page, not through the Champion Bangla website. Facebook independently operates its platform and processes information under its own privacy policies.
1. Information we collect
Information from Facebook quiz participation
When you comment on a Champion Bangla quiz post, and where Meta permits access through its APIs, we may process:
- Your comment text, including answers to quiz questions.
- Your Facebook comment identifier and the relevant post identifier.
- Your Facebook Page-scoped identifier and public-facing display name, where available.
- Comment creation timestamps and information about edits, deletions, replies, or moderation status, where available.
- Derived information such as parsed answers, eligibility, scores, rankings, and winning status.
We do not request your Facebook password. We do not assume we receive your private profile information, email address, phone number, or friend list through comment participation.
Information from website and PWA usage
Our hosting and security systems may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps, and security logs. A PWA may use local browser storage or caches to support installation, performance, and offline display. We do not currently use analytics cookies, advertising pixels, or push notification services.
Information from winners and inquiries
If you are selected as a potential winner, we may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify eligibility, contact you, and deliver a prize, such as name, contact information, delivery details, proof of eligibility, or tax documentation where legally required. We explain what is needed at the time of collection. If you contact us, we process the details you send in order to respond.
2. How we use information
- Operate and display quiz sessions, question sets, and competition results.
- Retrieve quiz comments, parse and validate answers, calculate scores, and rank eligible entries.
- Detect duplicate submissions, suspicious activity, prohibited behavior, and potential answer copying.
- Moderate comments on quiz posts where permitted by Meta's tools, including best-effort hiding of answers during active sessions.
- Review potential winners, publish results where disclosed in the rules, and administer prizes.
- Maintain website performance, security, troubleshooting, audit records, and compliance with applicable law and Meta's terms.
- Respond to privacy requests and support inquiries.
Comment hiding is not guaranteed privacy. A comment may be visible before moderation occurs, and Facebook may allow the commenter and certain other people, including friends, to see hidden comments. Do not include passwords, financial information, or other sensitive personal information in quiz answers.
3. How Facebook integration works
We use Meta-authorized tools, such as the Facebook Graph API and Page Webhooks, subject to the permissions available to our application. Meta may process and display your interactions according to its own terms. We may publish winner announcements on our website and Facebook Page using the display information and competition results described in the applicable competition rules. We do not claim control over Facebook's own storage, visibility, or deletion of comments.
4. When we share information
We may share information with service providers who help us host, secure, maintain, and operate Champion Bangla (such as website infrastructure, database, or storage providers), subject to appropriate confidentiality and security safeguards. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a lawful business transition. We do not sell personal information obtained from Meta APIs.
Public winner announcements may identify winners using their Facebook display name and/or other information disclosed in the applicable rules. We will not publicly disclose private contact information or identity documents.
5. Retention
We retain identifiable quiz and technical data only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, administer competitions, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, meet legitimate audit needs, or comply with applicable law and Meta's requirements. We delete or de-identify data when no longer needed, and honor qualifying deletion requests.
- Facebook comments and participant identifiers: retained for the duration of the relevant competition cycle, then deleted or de-identified within 24 months after the session closes unless a dispute or legal obligation requires longer retention.
- Competition scores, winners, and audit records: retained for up to 24 months; published winner announcements may remain as a public record of results.
- Website security and access logs: retained for up to 90 days.
- Prize verification and tax records: retained for the period required by applicable law (typically up to 7 years where tax documentation is required).
6. Your choices and privacy rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information that we control, or to explain how we process it. You may also remove your own comments using Facebook's controls; deleting a Facebook comment does not necessarily immediately remove data previously received by our system, so you may also contact us for deletion.
To make a request, email [email protected] with the subject "Champion Bangla Privacy Request". Include the relevant Facebook quiz post URL or comment URL if available, and describe your request. Do not send your Facebook password or government ID in your first email. We may request limited information to verify that the request concerns your data. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Data deletion instructions for Meta app users
- Email [email protected] with the subject "Champion Bangla Data Deletion Request".
- Include your Facebook display name and, if possible, a link to a Champion Bangla quiz comment or post where you participated.
- We will locate data that we control, verify the request when necessary, and delete or de-identify eligible records unless legally required to retain certain information.
- We will confirm completion or explain any lawful retention exception using the contact method provided.
These instructions apply regardless of where the requester lives. Requests to delete content retained independently by Facebook must also be made through Facebook's own tools or privacy channels.
7. Cookies, caching, and analytics
Our website may use essential cookies or browser storage for security, basic functionality, or PWA caching. We do not currently set non-essential cookies, analytics identifiers, advertising pixels, or push notification subscriptions. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, present appropriate consent controls before enabling them.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect the data we control, including access restrictions, secure connections, and safeguards around administrative access. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's privacy and eligibility
Champion Bangla is intended for participants who are at least 18 years old and who meet the other eligibility conditions stated in each competition's official rules and applicable platform requirements. We do not knowingly process information submitted by minors. If you believe a child has submitted information in violation of these rules, contact us at [email protected] for review and deletion.
10. International processing
Information may be processed where our hosting providers and authorized service providers operate, including data center locations used by our infrastructure providers. When applicable privacy law requires safeguards for cross-border transfers, we will use appropriate protections.
11. Third-party links and platforms
Our website may link to Facebook or other third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. This Privacy Policy applies only to information processed by Champion Bangla.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices, features, or legal obligations change. We will publish the updated version and date on this page, and provide additional notice where legally required.
